The week after Thanksgiving 2018 saw some 30+ waves on the North Shore of Kauai on the edge of Hanalei Bay. Only about 6 surfed for a couple of days on these particular waves.

A camera has been in my hands ever since I can remember with my father and Grandfather's mentoring early on. I've received several photographic awards, have shown in galleries / museums and contributed to many publications with my life long photographic passion. Vibrant color is key and I thoroughly enjoy being in the moment, composing subject matter in the field! My wife and I have the fortunate opportunity to split our time between the Palouse region of Eastern Washington / Idaho border and Hawaii on the Garden Island of Kaua'i. The primal intent of my work is for the viewer to feel comfortable and relaxed although involved with observing the image's nuances.
